We select families / individuals for our homeowner program based on the following criteria:
This includes, but is not limited to, structural problems, overcrowding, an excessive amount of income being spent on housing expenses, and the inability to obtain housing through conventional means. Income limitations (maximum and minimum) based on family size are also considered.
Ability to pay a monthly mortgage
Since you will actually be buying your home, you must demonstrate your ability to pay a monthly mortgage.
Willingness to partner
This is something we call “sweat equity”, and it comes from assisting in the construction of your home, the homes of others, as well as attending homeowner education classes.
