Volunteer – No Hands But Yours

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge is a volunteer-driven organization. With minimal staff, Habitat depends on volunteer involvement in construction and other aspects of the organization to further our mission of ending poverty housing.

Non-construction help is also needed on the build site with hospitality, providing lunch and registration. Skilled construction volunteers assist staff members in directing small groups of volunteers on the build site. Since most construction tasks require only a desire to learn and ability work well with others, we encourage all willing volunteers, regardless of skill level, to come on site and learn from our more seasoned builders.

Volunteer construction days are Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7:45 am to 3pm.

There are also many other volunteer activities outside the construction area. Our varied volunteer works, and our volunteer committees help us achieve our mission.

All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Waiver Form before volunteering on the construction site. All volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer on our construction sites.
