Building Homes, Building Hope

United Methodist Build

The United Methodist Churches started their 41st Habitat home on Oct. 21st. The United Methodist Churches of Greater Baton Rouge have been building homes and hope with low-income families since 1988. The cooperation of many churches and individuals makes it possible for even the smallest congregation to make a difference, whether they donate a meal, work on the home, offer prayers for the project and homeowner, or contribute financially.  No gesture is too small. They have built Habitat homes in 16 different neighborhoods, and 46 adults and 110 children have a safe, affordable place to live thanks to their support.
