Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge depends on the helping hands and giving hearts of volunteers to further our mission of ending poverty housing. From helping on home builds to working with one of our two ReStore locations, there are many ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.
Join us every Wednesday and Saturday from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. as we change lives and landscapes! Whether you’re a skilled builder or this is your first time on a construction site, all that matters is your willingness to help and ability to work with others. Construction volunteers aid in an array of home build projects, from helping with framing, painting, and landscaping to installing doors, windows, and walls.
All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and complete a Volunteer Waiver Form to volunteer on the construction site.
Interested in retail, restoring home furnishings, or passionate about the environment? Make your impact indoors at ReStore. With two Baton Rouge locations, Habitat ReStores are nonprofit retail centers that sell new and gently used building materials and furniture at a fraction of the retail price. All sales fund our mission to eliminate poverty housing. From managing an ever-changing array of merchandise to repairing donations and determining recyclable items, Restore offers a variety of volunteer opportunities.
